Social Value is something at Alliance we are passionate about and we are always looking at ways in which we can make a positive impact to communities and support our business partners in Corporate Social Responsibility.
We currently offer a facility of work experience and employment opportunities to people from local communities to give those people help who ordinarily find it difficult to secure employment
We now offer an enhanced individual programme to support individuals gain valuable work experience, provide personal development modules and job searching provision to give them every help they need to secure employment. All of this is funded ourselves and delivered by our in house training department. Individuals are expected to attend every day, Monday to Friday starting at 8am till 4pm and are expected to commit like they would to any job. They have their travel expenses paid and lunch provided each day. They will be issued with all PPE including a pair of safety boots, work pants and any relevant PPE depending on the work they undertake at anytime. Future ventures
Alliance Facilities Management Limited have already started on plans to establish a waste transfer station for mixed non hazardous waste and a skip hire business which will be a commercial run venture with social enterprise principles. This will provide additional work experience/placements and added benefits for the long term unemployed and disadvantaged adults. It is envisaged that training in machine operation/tele-handlers and other industry associated activities will be available and potentially lead to employment. It is planned that the project will be completely run by individuals that have completed the Fresh Start program and offered full time employment by us. We plan to have the site fully operational by March 2017.
